March 9th, 2019. An important day in my high school career, the event that mostly everyone dreads, SAT score release day. Usually the average benchmark for top tier schools such as Columbia or Princeton, is somewhere near 1500 to perfect. Mind you, the score below was my score I received as a sophomore. I was kinda crying and laughing nervously at the same time... 1120 was NOWHERE NEAR the benchmark. I haven't finished Algebra 2 yet, and I barely studied for this test. The most I had done was a few prep classes, which honestly, was less than enough. What's the point of showcasing this god-awful score? Well, I'm VERY very nervous for the most part because not only is the next SAT date is a month away, I have to improve by 350+ points, AT LEAST. A lot of pressure on me, but who said it was going to be easy right? Greatness is all very well deep within us, it's just that the successful people find a way to awaken that greatness. Most of the time, to awaken it, takes a great amount of work... hard work. Overcoming the odds, withstanding the trials, and persevering through circumstances are all ways to do this. The thing is, people think that their destiny will naturally come to them, because after all, it is their destiny. This is totally wrong. CREATE YOUR DESTINY! If you feel as if your destiny is to pursue education at the best school in the world, then you will have to work towards it. Everyone has the utmost potential to be someone important and great: Realize this, create your destiny, and follow it because it truly is calling you!
